The premise of The Gap and The Gain is that high achieving executives tend to be unhappily measuring themselves against an ideal. The book details the powerful practices of self reflection and "measuring backwards."
Jason's Book Report exists to share my love of continuous learning and reading with audiences of busy working professionals. After all, just because most of us have completed our formal education, doesn't mean we stop learning.
During Jason's Book Report, I touch on my own life's journey of learning through reading. I use books from across my career in sales and marketing, as a CMO, and as a CEO. The presentation covers tactical how-to books, classic management titles, novels, biographies, and even cookbooks. Attendees walk away with more than a list of titles to read. They learn how to annotate a book for the most focused recall as well as how to spot and formulate, what I call, "The Big Idea."
Based on years of reading, I can tailor Jason's Book Report to your audience, creating sessions between 30- to 60-minutes. Jason's Book Report can also be an interlude between sessions or a "snack break" during heavier content. Is there a book you would like me to cover specifically for your attendees? That's possible, too.
Jason's Book Report is the perfect positive, energetic, practical, and decidedly "low-tech" answer in this fast-paced, theoretical world of AI-related doom-and-gloom. In fact, the best way to understand the future is to to think critically about our place in the world and our role as professionals. Jason's Book Report delivers exactly that.
